Purr For the Alpha is part of the Timber Valley Pack series. Ty and Karen have a history of not quite working out. Two previous mishaps mean they both don’t quite have the right idea about each other however they can’t deny the connection and pull they feel for each other. Karen’s father is a deadbeat dad and a thief. When he is caught stealing from the Battle grounds he is certain to go to jail, unless Karen takes up Ty’s offer to work at his nightclub. I did enjoy reading this; my only annoyance was I didn’t agree with Karen trying to help her dad out at all. He has done nothing but steal and lie her whole life and how is someone supposed to get better when they have zero consequences for their actions. Even though the premise was to get Karen and Ty together, that small part bugged me. Otherwise it was another great read from Georgette and a must read for her fans.
The Padfoots have a reputation for being criminals and untrustworthy, just because her parents tainted their gene pool it doesn't make life for lynx Shifter Karen Padfoot a self-prophesied fact. Karen has worked long and hard to get her degree to be a lawyer, she has taken custody of her two siblings and is trying desperately to make it all work. Her one weakness is bailing her Dad out of jams and now she has to face the Battle's again and find a way out of the mess he caused.
Were shifter and Alpha Ty Battle has been waiting for a chance with Karen, she doesn't know it yet but he plans to make her his mate. First he has to get her to submit and Karen doesn't plan to go down without a fight. Ty is a dominant male though and always one step ahead in his plan to make Karen his mate, throw in a few bumps along the road and a vengeful woman who think Ty should be his mate, you have a delicious read.
Very fun Ty is cocky and Karen is a frenzied firecracker, together they are cataclysmic. I thoroughly enjoyed and can't wait to read more in this series. Funny at times with a hint of spice will keep readers entertained.
Ms. St. Clair has a way of giving us some good old sexy kink with a whole bunch of cute. Can't help but love her stories. I'm a fan of Shifter stories, I found the Blue Moon Shifters & Shifters, Inc. Series. Loved them so I've been following her.
Ty Battle is hot & his uncle is Alpha of the Timber Valley Pack. Karen has taken care of her teenage brother & sister most of her life. Their Dad is an addict/gambler/thief & is always in jail, owing some big money, & never takes care of his children. Ty's been after Karen since HS. Now since her father has stolen from his family Ty sees a way to get close to her. Come work off debt waitressing at the Zoo, his sex/dance club, stay on Timber Valley land, oh & the kids can go to the Summer camp we have for free. He'll put her father in jail if she doesn't & she always enables him. She doesn't see a way out. She also doesn't want to be used by Ty! Karen needs to just get thru the Summer, stay away from Ty & pray the kids behave themselves! Can she do it??

I bought this book after coming across it numerous times on my . This is my first time reading anything by this author, but it will not be my last. It was a quick and enjoyable read about two shifters who were obviously meant to be together. Karen is a Lynx shifter who has secretly been in love with Ty, a wolf shifter, since high school. But one stupid immature move on his part during that period in time proved to her that she could never trust her heart to him. Years later their paths cross again. Strangely enough, Ty has always had a 'thing' for Karen and decides that he wants her for himself. Due to the constant illegal activities of Karen's derelict father, their family reputation is in tatters. Because of this, she can't believe that any man, especially a sexy alpha male like Ty, would want anything to do with her. Unfortunately, her poor excuse of a father decides to steal from Ty' s family, and in lieu of prosecuting him, Ty demands that Karen come work for him for a month. With her 'back to the wall,' she accepts because she needs the income in order to provide for herself and her two younger siblings. Suddenly, a kidnapping attempt from an outside 'human' source results in evidence of a betrayal from within the pack, and brings to light a threat to all shifters. This book has all the elements needed to hold my interest....a possessive "take no prisoners" Alpha male who knows what he wants and goes after it; an intelligent, hard-working female who has no intention of being dominated; secondary characters who touch your heart; several people you love to hate; an 'as yet' unsolved mystery, and enough sexual tension to fill a room. NOTE There is a small amount of BDSM in this story, which takes the form of public discipline. However, it is a one-time occurrence, and is of small duration. I can honestly say that I would recommend this book to those who enjoy 'shifter' stories.
